This is a lovely wooden vintage money box with a decorative top. The top has a lovely hand painted card with a written extract of the poem Thrift by Robert burns and spring of flowers and leaves. The money slot is on the front edge and to open the box you flick a piece of wood in the end panel.
The lid has the words Gather gear by every wile That's justify a by Honour
It is in fair vintage condition, it does show signs of its vintage journey with knocks and scuffs. There is some loss of paint from the top. This adds to its vintage charm. Please see pictures
