A lovely set of vintage Hughes family scales 48 B. An usual set of scales as they have a wicker weighing basket. Most likely used in a grocers to weigh fruit and veg. They are black with gold border ( mostly faded) a white face with black numbers.
These are in vintage condition, they are working though I haven't tested the accuracy. They do show signs of their vintage journey with knocks, marks, scuffs and rust spots to the metal casting. All this adds to there charm. Please see pictures.

These still work so could be used, they would also look lovely as part of a vintage kitchen or shop display.
