This is a a pretty little silverplate Japanese heart box. The box is heart shaped with a tile fixed to the lid. The tile has hand painted blossom and a Japanese inscription. The rim around the lid and box has leaves. I think the box is silverplate on copper.
In good vintage condition for its age, the silverplate has rubbed off in some areas. This adds to its charm. Please see photos.
