A lovely old sailors box. The box is pitch pine and has a mahogany coloured finish. There is a metal plaque on the lid stamped A. G. Merriman, there is also a brass front clip. This box would have held the sailors personal things.
It is in fairly good condition for its age, the wood shows signs of its vintage journey and has many knocks and marks. All this adds to its charm. Please see pictures.
