This is a lovely Victorian photograph album which is leather bound. The photograph album is tooled and has gilt edged pages. There is a brass clip but sadly only part of it has survived. The end paper is a pale green with gold and white flowers. It was presented to Miss H Thomas 1903.
There are 7 pages decorated with flowers. There are 15 single plain pages and 8 four plain pages. Each page is made of strong cardboard so that you can slide your photographs in. The album is in vintage condition please see condition report below.
Condition report: There is a lot of wear to the album, and it really shows signs of its vintage journey, it is approx. 110 years old. There is damages to a lot of the pages mainly at the bottom edges and around the centre. The leather is worn and marked and there is only half the clasp so it does not fasten. That said it is still so beautiful and has a certain faded grandeur about it. Please see pictures.
The album measures 32 x 25 x 7 centimetres.
A beautiful ablum that can still be used or displayed.
Please note the ablum is heavy this is reflected in the shipping costs.
