This is a beautiful Victorian Paper-Mache Blotter or Album. It is painted black over a blue surface and lacquered with gold painted decoration around the front frame and on the back. Pinks, reds and blue are used to as highlights in the pattern. The front has a brass centre frame.
It is in vintage condition and does show its journey. There are marks and wear to the lacquer and paper-mache. The blue and cream papers inside are marked, worn and some are loose. All this adds to its charm and tells its story.
